Be Kind

“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”

I have no idea who said this, but I love this quote. When I was little, I wanted to be all kinds of things when I “grew up”: a painter, or a firefighter, or a pilot, or a zookeeper… All kinds of things. And, now, while I may appear to be a “grown-up,” I am still growing. And when I read this quote, I realize this is what I truly want to be: kind.

So I want to tell you about a little movement I’m working on: Kindness Couriers is an ordinary group of people from all over the world spreading little bits of kindness. It started with me but it’s growing. And you could join too if you wanted.

Imagine how great it would be to go for a walk in a park and find a little note with some kind words attached to a bench. Wouldn’t it be fun if you bought a book from your local bookstore and stumbled across some warm fuzzies 50 pages in?

The best compliments are the unexpected ones and Kindness Couriers all over the world are trying to bring little bits of joy to people’s days and lives by spreading kindness.
